In order to actively and orderly promote the comprehensive utilization of urban lighting poles in Jiangsu Province and strive to create a "smart light pole" that corresponds to the construction of smart cities, and to deeply standardize and guide the planning, construction, and operation and maintenance of smart light poles, on December 17th, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Housing and Urban Rural Development issued the "Jiangsu Province Urban Lighting Smart Light Pole Construction Guide" (hereinafter referred to as the "Guide").

This guide specifies the overall planning and design, poles and lamps, mounting equipment, platforms, gateways and communication, layout and power supply, construction and acceptance, operation and maintenance requirements for urban lighting smart light poles, and is applicable to the initiation, planning, design, construction, acceptance, operation and maintenance of new, renovated, and expanded urban lighting smart light poles in Jiangsu Province.
